Small vehicles could include something carried or worn for example, or being pulled along.
Please include all people on vehicles and walking
Please count car and trailer as two vehicles.
You will be asked to provide registration numbers for all vehicles involved (including support vehicles) prior to the Carnival
1. Young is where most participants are under 16yrs. 2. Charities can include ‘Non-Profit’ Organisations 3. Entries are welcome from individuals or groups all we ask is that you are either in, on or carrying your vehicle 4. We welcome all our neighbouring Carnival Royalty to enter our procession 5. All businesses and commercial organisations are welcome to join in the fun 6. Majorettes & Cheerleaders as a group we realise you may well be entering more than one category 7. This may include someone in a trolley, on a unicycle etc. 8. If you do not wish to be judged please choose this option
Summary

1. We are available for the Procession on 17th August 2019
2. We are happy for photographs to be taken
3. We have Third Party Insurance on any vehicles entered
4. We have advised our insurers of the use of any vehicles
5. We agree that Walton Carnival Association cannot be held responsible for any losses or damage incurred

Walton Carnival Procession Terms

 

Thank you for being part of Walton Carnival 2019! Your help and support to raise funds for great local causes is much appreciated. We want to ensure that the Carnival is great fun and a safe and enjoyable time for all involved. We therefore ask that you take the time to read the following safety and procedural instructions in preparation for the Carnival. Please note that by submitting an application to take part you are stating that you have read and understood and agree to abide by all that is written here.

 
 
  • Please ensure that no person stands between the towing vehicle and the float once the float has started moving in the procession. No one is permitted to get on or off the float while it is in motion
  • All persons on any vehicle or float will always take note or advice from the driver or chaperone
  • All persons on any vehicle or float must remain well inside the vehicle or float while it is in motion
  • All vehicles, floats and surroundings shall be non-smoking and alcohol fee areas at all times
  • All vehicles and floats must hold the appropriate insurances to take part in such activities
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times
  • All entrants must register their entry with the Carnival Committee prior to the procession
  • Whether you collect during the procession with any of the containers supplied or you supply and use your own, ALL monies collected in the procession MUST be handed to The Walton Carnival Association or their representatives at the end of the procession
  • Emergency contact numbers provided by the Carnival Committee must be carried at all times during the procession
  • Entrants are to immediately report any inappropriate or dangerous behaviour to a Carnival Steward who will be wearing a high visibility jacket
  • All entrants must follow the instructions of Carnival Stewards at all times to ensure their safety. If an entrant requires emergency assistance at any point they are to contact the nearest Carnival Steward, St John Ambulance member or Police Officer
